Every review on Suay Maak follows the same process. This page exists so you know exactly how we decide what to recommend.
Step 1: Ingredient analysis
Before we write anything about a product, we pull its full INCI list and check:
- Where the hero ingredient appears. A serum advertised as “niacinamide 10%” must have niacinamide in the top 5. If it is buried at position 18, we say so.
- Known irritants. Fragrance, essential oils and high alcohol content flag a product as risky for sensitive Thai skin.
- Climate suitability. Heavy occlusives (petrolatum, shea butter at high %) rarely suit Thailand heat. We call this out.
Step 2: Thailand condition testing
We use the product in Thai conditions for at least 2 weeks before publishing a review. We evaluate:
- Humidity performance. Does it pill under humidity? Does it feel heavy by 2pm?
- Sweat resistance. Especially for SPF and makeup products.
- Hard water compatibility. Shampoos and cleansers lather differently in Thai tap water.
Step 3: Real Lazada review mining
We read the top 20 most helpful Lazada reviews for every product. We extract:
- What buyers consistently praise
- What buyers consistently complain about
- Whether reviews mention Thai skin concerns specifically
- Patterns in 1-star and 2-star reviews
Step 4: Value scoring
We compare Thai Lazada price to global pricing and to functional equivalents. A product has to earn its price against cheaper alternatives that work equally well.
Step 5: Final verdict
Every review ends with one of:
- Buy. We would spend our own money on this.
- Buy if. Works for a specific skin concern or condition , not universal.
- Skip. Better alternatives exist at the same price, or the marketing outperforms the product.
What disqualifies a product from our site
- Unavailable on Lazada Thailand
- Known fake-product risk (grey market)
- Unverified ingredient claims
- Brands that pay for placements elsewhere and try to pay us , we say no
